You were allergic to hellos,
I was allergic to goodbyes...
Always mocking me.
You loved me from afar,
I loved you...
In all of the wrong ways,
Your body loved me...
In all of the right ways.
The purest state of loveliness
That has ever existed in the universe,
Is in the light that reflects
In the stunning visage
That is your eyes...
I cannot ever appear within them.
All manner of truth be spoken in jest,
but...
When you looked at me
With a demon's eyes,
And you stole my soul...
And it devoured you,
And you cried out to me...
I don't want it back.
You can have it.
You deserve it.
It's the sweetest kind of kindness...
The saddest kind of sweetness;
The sweetest sadness...
Swept downward,
continually swimming upstream,
forever against the grain...
Please tell me
why you can't see
the pain that lies
behind these blue eyes...
Unlocking secrets,
whispering that which
was foretold
long ago...
I can hear them ringing;
Hence, I'm no longer singing...
The final drowning bell,
dragging you under, into hell...
Gentle, like the rains,
and firm, as the reeds,
until all you see is dark...

The Sun Sets In The South
You don't see me, but I see you,
Casting my spirit out through the eyes of a mannequin,
Forever unseeing, eyes eternally unchanging...
Rusted pipes leaking rainwater onto concrete,
Hardened and cold;
Crawling on wounded knees,
Back to the only place I was ever truly free.
Oh wise and great destroyer,
Please come forth and devour everything,
Just take it all away...
Cleanse my soul from putrid solace,
From the blackened hills of precarious solitude,
To the tender embrace of the darkness,
Always lurking...
Well, you could wait forever here,
Abrupt sunshine scalding your skin,
Grating away at the nail bed enamel,
You gnaw at my psyche from b
Dripping gems
And jeweled embers,
All of them broken
Until the ends meet...
No one else will ever understand...
Not like I do...
Bowing my head
In solemn solitude,
I taste the agony on your breath,
Washing over me once again...
The silent fury
That makes it's home
Deep in your heart...
The way you felt,
Soft, against my skin,
Even when the world
Had made you so hard...
Those others,
They see right through you,
Never knowing you...
Greedily eating the lies,
Choking on the remnants;
All of them,
Who never knew you were
A hanged man...
They painted your soul black,
Like a villain...
But you never were to me.
